Police say three Watertown teens broke more than 50 windows causing more than $15 thousand in damage, now they face some serious consequences.

Jeff Karbula's neighbors woke him up with some bad news on Saturday.

"They woke up, they came over and got me out of our house over there," Karbula says. "I came walking out and it looked like there was a little BB hole right here, or an air pistol hole right there, and then the center of it was all busted out and the shattered glass was all around it."

There were four cars vandalized with air pistols on Maple St. that night. Two of them belonged to Karbula.

"I looked at it and I thought, 'Why would people do something like this?" Karbula says.

"I would say that they just wanted to kill some time and cause damage," says Sgt. Troy VanDusen of the Watertown police department.

Sgt. VanDusen says the teens did plenty of both, the 50 plus windows were shot out sporadically all over town over several weeks. Even though three teens were arrested, officers say the damage is done.

"One gentleman had just purchased a vehicle and hadn't even made a payment on it yet and now he's looking at damage to it."

That man would be Karbula. He says his old car is still on the market.

"It's still for sale," Karbula says. "The window is fixed so anybody wants to buy it come on over."

Eighteen year old Travis Zerr and a 14 and 15 year old were all arrested for intentional damage of property, a Class 4 felony. It carries up to 10 years in prison.

Zerr is currently out on cash bond and the juveniles have been released to their parents.
