.38 Special to Play State Fair

The veteran rock band .38 Special has been booked to perform at the South Dakota State Fair grandstand on August 30th.

The band, which has released more than a dozen albums since 1975, features its co-founders: front man Donnie Van Zant and vocalist-guitarist Don Barnes.  The band joins country duo Montgomery Gentry in the grandstand lineup so far. Montgomery Gentry performs Aug. 31.

The 2008 fair runs from August 28th - September 1st.
