Hundreds Still Without Power after Black Hill Storm

By Associated Press

Hundreds of people are without power in northwestern South Dakota, four days after a blizzard slammed through the region, toppling power poles.  Despite warm temperatures, much of western Harding County remained under a blanket of snow Monday.  Repair crews struggled in deep snow and mud.

Officials say power may not be restored to some rural customers for another 10 days to two weeks.  The storm dropped 3,700 power poles and felled 126 of large transmission poles, each weighing more than a ton.
