Event Center Task Force Open House

By KSFY News

The Sioux Falls Events Center Task Force invites the public to give input at a series of upcoming open houses.  While the task force plans to hold many public forums, the first open houses will simply involve allowing residents to voice their thoughts about what the community needs in terms of a new facility.  There will be no formal program at any of the open houses; the public will be able to interact directly with task force members and also leave written comments. The task force views this process as a key part of their information gathering and researching before any recommendations are made for a new facility.

Open houses will be held at the following times and places:

Thursday, May 15:

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Morningside Community Center, 2400 South Bahnson Avenue

Tuesday, May 20:

  • 2 to 4 p.m., Kuehn Community Center, 2801 South Valley View Road
  • 6 to 8 p.m., Oyate Community Center, 2421 West 15th Street

Thursday, May 22:

  • 2 to 4 p.m., Kenny Anderson Community Center, 3701 East Third Street
  • 6 to 8 p.m., MariCar Community Center, 400 North Valley View Road
