RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - During former President Bill Clinton's campaign stop for his wife in Rapid City Saturday, he's talking with some of South Dakota's Democratic superdelegates.

State party Chairman Jack Billion of Sioux Falls and national committee member Nick Nemec of Holabird said the Clinton campaign invited them to the event to talk to the former president.

Nemec says he doubted Bill Clinton could persuade him to switch his allegiance from Barack Obama, but he says he was willing to listen. Billion says that as the state party leader, he would listen to the former president because party leaders need to make sure the ticket is strong. He says you don't turn down a president who says he wants to talk to you.

Nemec says it's probably mathematically impossible for Hillary Clinton to win the nomination but that he doesn't mind if she continues her campaign for another few weeks. South Dakota's primary is June 3rd with 15 pledged delegates at stake.
