Mother's Day Deliveries Up

Pat Ramstad, a floral manager at Sunshine Foods, says Mother's Day sales were up this year.

By Kent Erdahl

Sunday was the 100th anniversary of Mother's Day, and despite high gas prices local florists tell KSFY the annual tradition kept them busier than ever.

Pat Ramstad, the floral manager at a Sunshine Grocery store in Sioux Falls, says business was actually better than last year.

Fuel prices have forced most delivery services to raise prices, but Pat says it hasn't impacted big holidays like Mothers Day.

"It really hasn't made a bit of difference," Ramstad says. "They're willing to pay the price no matter what, so nope, we've done really well. They haven't complained about that part at all."
