Debra Jenner Parole Hearing

Debra Jenner Tyler at the Women's Prison in Pierre

By Associated Press

South Dakota Attorney General Larry Long says a Huron woman who murdered her young daughter in 1987 should never be released from prison.  Long told members of the state Parole Board on Wednesday that  Debra Jenner "butchered" her 3-year-old and should have to spend the rest of her life behind bars.

Jenner told a sub-panel of the Parole Board that she would live with her son's in-laws in Pierre if released.  The inmate says she could possibly get a data entry job in the capital city.

The full board will decide Jenner's case Thursday.

I think Richard Bisbing from the Chicago lab could speak better of his work then how the court represented his work. The hair was not found to be Debra Jenner's hair. The lab never made a statement that the hair found in Abby Jenner's hands was a conclusive match to Debra Jenner's hair. This means that it could be someone elses hair.

Apparently testing was done on samples of hair found under the fingernails and was found to be consistent with the mother and child. Inconsistent with the father.....for what it is worth....

Debra Jenner admitted to the crime, because she has no other choice. They have refused her DNA testing after begging for years. What would you do after begging and pleading for DNA testing, but denied. The phsychological abuse, that this women has endured, because no one wanted to look at the possibility that someone else committed this horrible crime. The hair found in this little girl's hand was not even prooven to be her mother's hair. A Chicago lab can proove this.

KSFY is free to contact me. In researching the case, a deep injustice has been done to both mother and daughter. I have never met Debra Jenner in person and convinced of her innocence.

I pray for truth, justice, and vindication of character for Debbie.

If the state of SD is so convinced of her guilt, then why won't they give her a DNA test?? Hmmm??? This is a gross injustice with 2 victims; Abby and Debra. A lab in Chicago has already proved that the hair under Abby's fingernails is not her mother's. Yet, the "system" has thrown that little tidbit out as inadmissible. There are so many holes in the case against her that I'm surprised that a major news show such as 48 Hours or Dateline hasn't caught wind of her case to expose this tragedy.

People quit being so trusting. I have never met Debra Jenner. I took an interest in her case. It did not matter to me if she was guilty or not. Someone else came forward and shared what they knew of that night. They said that Debra Jenner did not kill her daughter. They know who did. No one has ever checked out side sources. If you have the wrong person in prison, it means you have the murderer out on the street. This is an injustice.

I have known Deb since 1969, and no matter what evidence, what things have been said, or done, in my heart of hearts I will never be convinced of her guilt in this case.

anyone who could do something like that , definitely should never be released into the public, especially with showing no remorse. She is a very cold person.

this women should not be released. She killed her young, sweet child because the girl was fussy. That is not reason to kill anyone!
