Did you know there are dozens of places to get freebies on your birthday? Neither did we. We sent KSFY's Caitlin Haedicke to find out where to go to get the best deals and make your special day even more memorable.

On your birthday, you can usually expect a cake for free, but anything else? Turns out there is a whole array of choices: everything from coffee to tanning, even a clean car. But that's not all. Add dessert and a movie and you've got a birthday packed with freebies.

On Monday, Karli Narum turned 22. She knows she'll get presents from family and friends, but anything else?

"I know tonight at the pocket where we play volleyball, they'll give me a free drink...Other than that, i don't know," said Karli Narum. 

To help both her and you out, we're going to show you some fun places to get free stuff around town. And there's nothing like starting out your birthday with a free coffee drink of your choice. Dunn Brothers Coffee offers it's customers free dose of caffeine on their birthday. All you have to do is sign up about a week before hand. "And we'll send you an email for a free drink on your birthday. So come in, any size, any drink, it's free," added co-owner Emily Vincelli.

And since we're off to a bright and chipper start, why not a shinny car to match? 10th Street Auto Wash has just the thing. "We have what we call our VIP card which anybody can get for free and one of the major provisions of this, which is all listed on the back here, is on your birthday, five days on either side of your birthday, you get a free exterior wash," said Business Manager Doug Reichert.

Since we're working on outer beauty, stop by Year Round Brown. They offer customers a free tan, leaving the time limit up to you. Tanologist Brittany Francis added, "Some people don't even know about it and it will pop up on our screen, so we say happy birthday! you get a free tan! and they really like that."

You're probably getting hungry and Famous Dave's has plenty to chose from. To top off a great meal, they offer birthday boys and girls one shocking sundae. "They come in with their families and spend their hard earned dollars, so it's the least we can do for their birthdays," stated Dennis Crampton, a manager at Famous Dave's.

There's no better way to kickback and relax than with a movie and Hollywood video is just the place. Manager Brook Rouillard said, "We actually call the people on their birthday and let them know the day before that they can come in and get a free rental."

And all the freebies are music to Karli's ears, stating, "It gets you in there. If you know you'll go there on your birthday, you'll probably go back!"
