Police Arrest Man for Making Bomb Threat

Sioux Falls Police arrested a man for allegedly making a bomb threat last night.

According to Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens, 49-year-old Charles Sigro was involved in a minor traffic accident at 8th and Phillips at about 7:30pm. He started acting strangely when police arrived, Clemens said, getting in and out of his vehicle and taking random items from the trunk of his car.

Clemens said Sigro also started making cell phone calls to Metro Communications, and at one point told a dispatcher that a bomb was going to go off in six seconds. He was arrested for false reporting of a bomb; not having a drivers license and a minor traffic violation. No bomb was found and officers said alcohol and drugs were not involved.

Orlando, No one is defending this man. If you don't know what great things are west river, then you've never been there. Your opinion is based on your own ignorance and lack of education. West River is a beautiful and prosperous area in South Dakota. In fact a significant portion of our state budget comes from west river tourism, good luck finding funding for our schools and roads without that area. Also the farms and ranches support a significant portion of the nation's food supply.

Gosh, you people are mean. He more than likely has a mental illness of no fault of his own. It could happen to someone in your family. What does intelligence have to do with mental illness? For all those putting him down, may someone in your family get a mental/brain problem, like Schizophrenia or Alzheimer's..and see how it would feel when people make fun of them. Or God forbid have a baby you is mentally disabled..and then people make fun of your kid when he/she doesn't act normal.

I can't believe some of you are defending this guy and his lack of education. He thought he could get out of it by claiming he had a bomb? I think South Dakota should cede west river to Wyoming and be renamed East Wyoming. It is an empty quarter of the state filled with residents who couldn't pass a basic spelling test.

This guy may not be intelligent, but what makes you think he lived west river most of his life? There are MANY incredibly intelligent people who live west river, I think that comment was rude and inappropriate. The east side of the state doesn't exactly house all the best and brightest this state has to offer!
