Andrew Tate Guilty, Brittany Plamp Satisfied

By Robert Wilson

After the jury returned the verdict that Andrew Tate, seen here entering the courthouse, did batter Brittany Plamp, Plamp broke her silence.

"I'm happy with the verdict that the jury came out and said that Mr. Tate did batter me and touch me inappropriately. I do disagree that the school is not held responsible for his touching me."

As he left the court after hearing a unanimous jury say he did batter the plaintiff, Tate didn't answer questions.

"Any idea what you're next move is?"

"No comment," said Tate.

"Were you surprised?"

"No comment please," said Tate.

Mitchell School Superintendent Joseph Graves said he obviously agrees with the decision and this case has prompted the district to take a fresh look at its procedures.

"We did a review of all our policies and procedures and our professional development opportunities and basically critiqued them," said Graves.

The jury's deliberations were delayed for several hours Wednesday morning after a juror brought a dictionary into the courthouse.

Tuesday the judge had denied a jury request to see a dictionary.

The judge and lawyers ultimately decided that didn't have an effect on their ability to decide the case.

Brittany Plamp will not collect any damages from this decision and Wednesday she said this case was not about money.

KSFY also asked the Mitchell School Superintendent if they would ask to collect their legal fees from Plamp since the district was found not to be responsible.

He said that's a decision for the school district's insurance company to make.

Plamp sued for 750K to get that money, now she says it was never about the money? How stupid does she think we are? She thought she had a slam dunk deal.

Your headline that Tate is "guilty" is not correct. In civil trials, the jury either finds "in favor of" or "against" the plaintiff; or "in favor of" or "against" the defendant.
