An United Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Sioux Falls Wednesday evening.

Flight # 102 from San Francisco to Chicago made an emergency landing at Sioux Falls Regional Airport around 5:30 p.m. KSFY spoke with several passengers, who said they were traveling from 20 minutes west of Sioux Falls when the fire alarm sounded off. They could see the airline attendent using a magazine to fan smoke coming from the front part of the plane.

The pilot got on the intercom speaker and told the plane that they would be making an emergency landing in Sioux Falls.

When they landed, Sioux Falls Fire and Rescue was there waiting for them. It seems there was a problem with a lightbulb near the front of the plane somewhere between the cabin and the bathroom.
