Fake Amber Alert in Sioux County

By KSFY News

An Amber Alert is sure to get your attention, and that is exactly what's happening in Sioux County, Iowa.  The only problem is that this Amber Alert is a hoax.

The Sioux County Sheriff's Office says they have received several phone calls and emails regarding the alert.  The message is going out saying that two girls from Alton were abducted in a brown Jeep Liberty with Kansas Plates.  The Sheriff's department says there have been no reports of any abducted children in Sioux County.

The Sheriff's office asks that anyone who receives the fake Amber Alert not forward the message.

Actually, you can be legally considered a kidnapper if you do not have custody of your biological children.

If these girls were really abducted and the police would not do anything about it I would have done the same thing,in our case my nephew (8 months old) was abducted by his mother on July 4th(father has full custody)and the police did NOTHING to help us!Baby was returned home 1wk later with no help form authorities, my husband, father and brother made a 1am trip to RC into a very dangerous situation and brought him home!If these girls WERE NOT abducted,I hope who ever did this gets nailed!

I live in Oklahoma, and this text message about the Amber Alert is going around here too. It doesn't give a specific county or anything here, but I looked it up and this is what I came up with...There are no Amber Alerts issued in OK, so I kept looking until I found this one!

In order to avoid such problems another method that can be used is that of Child Search which is a free service offered by psychic Robert Lindblad that has saved lives of missing/kidnapped children internationally and caught their kidnappers / murderers since 1991.
