Huron Authorities say Heath Styer's body was in a car pulled from Lake Ravine last week.

A 13 year old cold case in Huron has been solved.

Police say the remains Heath Styer have been identified in a car pulled from "Lake Ravine" last week.

Styer was 25 years old when he disappeared on his way to meet his girlfriend at the lake.

But until tonight...no one knew for sure what happened to him.

Last week, a make-shift memorial was set up in Heath Styer's honor along Lake Ravine.

It's the latest chapter in a mystery that's spanned 13 years.

That memorial appeared not long after divers pulled Styer's 1990 Chevy Beretta from 12 feet of water.

Styer was last seen in the early hours of June 26, 1995 when a Huron Police officer saw Styer's car speed down Highway 14.

Police had searched Lake Ravine before...but had no luck.

South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks used a newly purchased side sonar system that led to the discovery of Styer's car.

But investigators said it would take some time to determine if remains were in the car...because of silt and mud that accumulated inside.

Some friends and neighbors say they've always believed Styer was in the lake...somewhere.

But until tonight...no one knew for sure.

Authorities used dental records to identify Styer and say there were no signs of foul play.

Investigators say they're still trying to piece together *how* his car ended up in the lake.

It stills seems that there should have been more of a vigor search for him in the lake for all these years.

I hope the Styer family can now put an end to this terrible incident. Especially his mom it had to be terrible not knowing for sure where he was all these years. Maybe now all the comments on the police and things can stop. Let this family move on. God Bless the Styer families.

R.I.P. Heath. You always treated me like your brother and I respected you so much for it. Jason, Michelle and the rest of Heath's family, may you find the comfort you sought and find more in the fact that there were many people out there who haven't forgot about Heath over the last 13 years.

It is so painful to think about Heath really being gone, my heart will forever ache for the whole Styer family.
