Plaid Shirt Bank Robber Identified

Authorities believe they have identified the man they call the "Plaid Shirt Bank Robber". 

Police say 37-year-old Joseph Paul Young has robbed banks across the country, and right here in South Dakota.  The FBI believes he is responsible for bank robberies in six states, including South Dakota.  Federal Investigators traced Young to his home near Springfield, Missouri but Young eluded capture and is on the run.

Sioux Falls police detectives are doing their own follow up work to see if any clues from any South Dakota robberies lead to Young.  The FBI also reveals a possible motive for Young to rob banks, saying he likes to gamble at casinos in both Kansas City and St. Louis. 

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joseph Young is asked to call police.
