USD Fraternity Teddy Bear Run

By KSFY Staff

A group of fraternity brothers from USD made a unique delivery in Sioux Falls Saturday, and they did it on foot.

Members of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity delivered a load of teddy bears to the Avera Children's Hospital Saturday afternoon, as part of their 13th annual Teddy Bear Run.

The guys actually ran the bears in shifts 60 miles up Interstate 90.

The run kicked off at the steps of the fraternity at about 5 a.m., and it finished up at about 4 p.m. in Sioux Falls.

Those who took part say it's worth the exercise.

Frank DePaula says, "We need to give back to our local community, especially most of us are actually from Sioux Falls, so it's good to be able to support the local community and let them know that Greek life is playing a part in keeping our community alive."
