No Water in Slayton

By Associated Press

The southwestern Minnesota city of Slayton will be without water Tuesday while water main repairs are made.

It's not known how long repairs will take, so the city says residents should be prepared for water service to be down all day.  Water access on the east side of Slayton was already planned to be down while water mains underwent scheduled replacement. But one of the valves controlling water access to the east and west sides of the city was damaged Monday morning. The whole system will need to be temporarily shut down while the valve is being replaced.

Murray County Central Schools will be closed Tuesday while the water mains are repaired. The Murray County Medical Center will remain open.
