John McCain and Barack Obama debated Tuesday in Nashville and spent a lot of time talking about your family's budget.

Obama says McCain's tax cut plan will primarily benefit the rich.

McCain says Obama wants to raise taxes on everyone.

 

Senator Barack Obama, (D) Presidential Candidate: "Senator McCain wants to give a 300 billion dollar tax cut to..200 billion of it to the largest corporations and 100 billion of it to people like CEO's on Wall Street. He wants to give the average Fortune 500 CEO an additional 700-thousand dollars in tax cuts."

Senator John McCain, (R) Presidential Candidate: "Senator Obama has voted 94 times to either increase your taxes or against tax cuts. That's his record. When he ran for the US Senate from Illinois he said he have a middle income tax cut. You know he came to the Senate and never once proposed legislation to do that?"
