A Dell Rapids football player was injured Friday night during the team's game against Tri-Valley in Colton.

KSFY crews at the game say player Jordan Youngberg was injured following a play in which several players ended up piling on top of one another. KSFY Pigskin Preview Reporter Bruce Andera reports following the play, Youngberg lied on the ground motionless and unable to move. A time later, Andera observed Youngberg moving his legs and talking with paramedics. The injury seemed to involve Youngberg's neck.

Youngberg was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, where his condition is unknown at this time.

Talked to our mom this morning and the doctors are going to keep him in the hospital for another 3 weeks to see if they can get the feeling back in his leg and arm. other than that he's doing well.

I was at that game and that kid looked like he was out. he just dropped and the other players just backed away. you knew something was wrong. Funny they called a chopper. i guess the ambulence that took over half an hour to get there for the kid from Harrisburg was just too slow for this one. Tri Valley stop hurtin kids haha.
