Huber Attorney Asks For Gun Expert

Lawyers for a former Highmore police chief who's charged with killing his wife are pressing to use testimony from an expert witness on accidental gun discharges.

Ken Huber is scheduled to go on trial Dec. 2. His lawyers told a judge Wednesday that they need the expert's testimony to bolster Huber's claim that the shooting a year ago was accidental.

Circuit Judge James W. Anderson made no immediate ruling on the issue.

The judge did say that he won't allow all five hours of taped questioning of Huber by police but will allow snippets in which Huber says the shooting was an accident, that he knew his wife had a life insurance policy, and that he had cheated on her several times.

A prosecutor said Pam Huber had a $100,000 insurance policy that paid double for accidental death.

I hope Ken and "State's Attorney" Jennifer Lowrie go to prison for a long time. I'd feel better knowing Cletus was among inmates who have nothing to lose by beating and torturing him. Let's not forget that Lowrie Pig played a part in this too. I hope new evidence surfaces during the trial to show her wrongdoing.

Tim, you haven't a clue what you are talking about? If Ken loved his daughters so deeply..he wouldn't have killed their mother. This was no accident, far from it...he knew exactly what he was doing. He should rot...the best thing for those girls would be to never have to see that man again.
