Action News has learned that Citibank has eliminated 122 jobs from it's South Dakota operations.  

Citibank has confirmed reports that 22 positions will be cut from the division that supports Student Loan Corporation at Citibank in Sioux Falls.  The other 100 job cuts will be made from various departments within it's Sioux Falls location.  These layoffs stem from a November 17th report that Citibank will be cutting 53,000 jobs worldwide.

A spokesperson with Citibank said that the Sioux Falls, SD location remains extremely important to Citi overall, and Citi remains committed to the Sioux Falls community.

Citibank's Sioux Falls location employs over 3,000 people.

Citi is a horrible company to work for anyway. Terrible benefits, supervisors who think they're excrement doesn't smell, and low wages. These people won't be without jobs for long with HSBC snatches them up.
