Sioux Falls Man Pleads Not Guilty In Child's Death

By Associated Press

A Sioux Falls man pleaded not guilty in the death of his girlfriend's son.

Christopher Brian Fisher faces alternate charges of second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter in the Thanksgiving Day death of 16-month-old Preston Vensand.

The 26-year-old Fisher told police the boy fell in the bathtub and hit his head; the child died the next day.

An autopsy determined the boy died of head injuries consistent with being shaken.
