Watertown Police Investigate Homicide, Seek Person of Interest

By KSFY Staff

Watertown Police were called to 603 1st Avenue NW at about 10:51AM Friday morning.  Inside the home police and fire personnel discovered the body of an 18 year old deceased female.  The Watertown PD in conjunction with the Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating the death as a homicide.

Authorities need your help to find 20 year old David Lumwano Amotun.  Amotun is described as a 6'1" African American male weighing approximately 140 pounds.  Amuton may be driving a white 1996 Chevy Silverado extended cab pickup, liscense plate number 1RE064.  The vehicle has a black bed cover and oversized tires.  He may have traveled to the Sioux Falls area.

If you have any information you are urged to call police.

This is America. People are supposed to be presumed innocent before a judgement of guilt is decided, regardless of the circumstances or your own personal knowledge of the situation. If you disagree, Canada's only a short drive away aye!

There is nothing fishy here in Watertown. The only thing that stinks is your comment. Brandy is my cousins stepdaughter and the whole family is horrified and you have no right to make comments like this. Where is your respect?? In the river with the fish you like?? There is a reason he is a suspect in the case and the police have reason to believe that he did this. Are you a cop, an investigator, or emergency management?? I am very happy that they did name him it helped get. RIP Brandy.

Boy they named this guy a suspect faster than the Dallas police named Lee Harvey the killer of Kennedy. Something smells fishy in Watertown, and it isn't Teri Redlin.

So what's the story here? The girl wanted to break off the interracial relationship and the guy didn't like the idea?
