Brandy was a resident of Watertown and has immediate family in Watertown. An autopsy of the victim will take place at a later date to confirm the cause of death.

During the investigation, police identified a person of interest. He is identified as David Lumwano Amotun. According to police he had a relationship with the victim in the past.

Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, David Amotun was located by Sioux Falls police driving the stolen 1996 Chevy pickup. After the police initiated a traffic stop, Amotun engaged Sioux Falls police in a six minute pursuit until he crashed into another driver's vehicle.

Police have arrested Amotun on charges of grand theft. His bond is set at $100 Thousand cash.
