MI Man Pleads Guilty To Vehicular Homicide In Warner Crash (AP)

By Associated Press

A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered for a 28-year-old Michigan man who pleaded guilty on Wednesday to felony vehicular homicide stemming from a fatal September traffic crash near Warner.

Authorities say Ryan J. Collier of Bay City, Mich., was driving more than 100 mph when his vehicle entered a ditch and rolled. A passenger, 27-year-old Tyler Stuck of Mellette, was ejected and killed.

The accident occurred Sept. 28 about a mile south of Warner on a county road.

Prosecutors say Collier failed two blood alcohol tests. The top prison term for a vehicular homicide conviction is 15 years.

Drunken driving, possession of marijuana and other charges were dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea.
