Child Suffers Unspeakable Injuries, George, IA Couple in Custody
A mother and her husband are in custody in Lyon County, IA tonight after her five year old son suffered unspeakable injuries, including wounds from a hammer. Multimedia Nikki Moreno, and her husband, Juan Carlos Moreno, of George, IA are both charged with child endangerment. the Lyon County Sheriff says her 5-year old son suffered a broken eye socket and a stab in the back from the claw of a hammer. The child also had bite marks and volleyball size scab on his back that may have been from a burn. Authorities say some of the injuries may have been caused by the child's six year old brother. This woman apparently has 5 children, and all but these two have been given to family members. Why this was not done for these two little boys, I don't know. The story says that the injuries were believed to have been inflicted Not by the parents but by his Brother. Yes the parents are responsible for this due to how they were raising the boys.
