A Spring blizzard is hitting the Sioux Empire this weekend.

Snow began falling in Sioux Falls about 11AM Saturday morning and grew steadily throughout the day and into the evening.

Interstate 90 was closed Saturday night from Sioux Falls to Wall. No travel advisories has been issued for many roads across southern South Dakota. The area of heaviest snow appears to be west of Winner and south of Interstate 90.
