Classic case of unfit parents. Additionally, reports, which include the wife's "letter", fit the profile of spousal abuse. Unless and until Rowena sees the light, I sincerely hope the children are placed with loving and caring family who can raise them appropriately, enabling them to have a chance at a normal and productive life.

When the laws are broken, there will be charges. Nebraska is being very lenient with Mr & Mrs Schade. They admitted to a lot more than what they are being charged.

Let's put this bizzare story to bed. Charge them with the crimes they committed (which they did commit at least 3) and be done with it. This deserves no more attention than the rest of the news.

anonymous, there are certain emotions and things that kick in when fear is present. Unless you have been there, you have no clue as to what happens. Fear is a powerful thing. Nebraska Social services also has a reputation of shoot first, ask questions later. Maybe the person that was investigating then should have told them right away that there was no evidence of child abuse present as was reported to the media after they left. The investigator could have prevented this!!!!!!!!!
