23 year old Ricardo Hein, known as R.J., was found dead inside of a trailer in Huron yesterday at about 5:30pm after police were called to the trailer by a woman claiming that someone had tried to break into her home and that the intruder may have been shot.

This all happened on the southwest corner of the city at the Prairie Villa Trailer Court in Huron.

Huron Police Chief Doug Schmitt noted in this mornings press release that this is the 3rd homicide in this town of 9,000 this year.  He wants to stress to the public not to be alarmed but it doesn't mean that some residents here in Huron don't have some concerns.

Donald Alumbaugh has lived in Huron for 10 years now and with the recent spree of homicides his family has changed their normal routines.  "I don't know, it's getting to the point where my wife doesn't even like to walk early in the morning anymore.  I think it's kind of scary," said Alumbaugh.

"Scary" is a word KSFY heard from a lot of residents regarding this incident including Jerome Mandel.  "I don't know just what I think of it.  I've lived here just about all of my life, this part of the country and I don't know it's getting kind of scary.  And on this last deal we've got some friends that live on that part of town and just kind of a scary deal."

States Attorney Mike Moore and other police officers don't want the public to worry and say that in all three cases the parties knew each other.
