The trial of a man accused of killing an 18-year-old Watertown woman has been delayed.

The trial of 21-year-old David Amotun was originally scheduled to begin Monday. It has now been pushed back around three months. Amotun's attorney says more time was needed for discovery and to get experts appointed.

Amotun is accused of killing Brandy Cotton, with whom he once had a relationship. She was found dead Jan. 30 in her grandmother's house in Watertown. He was arrested early the next morning in Sioux Falls after a chase.

Amotun was indicted earlier this year on alternate charges of first-degree murder and second-degree murder.
