By KSFY Staff

You see scooters buzzing all over Sioux Falls. They were very popular when gas was up last summer, but now that its a bit cheaper to fill your tank, the industry is hurting.

The current stimulus plan might help rev up sales. The same provision allowing tax payers to deduct sales and excise taxes on the purchase of a new car or truck also applies to a bike or scooter.

They can also get a 10 percent federal tax credit if they buy plug-in bikes.
