Crews are searching for a boater who went missing on the Missouri River.

Action News talked with Bon Homme County Sheriff Jason Bechtold who said that around four yesterday afternoon, a boat was found running on a sandbar in the middle of the Missouri River. But, nobody was on board.

The missing boater has been identified as 46-year-old Michael Larson of Yankton.

Crews searched the river and the banks until dark on Friday night and when back early on Saturday. They plan to resume searching at seven tomorrow morning.
