Fatal Hartford Rollover

The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal rollover in Hartford.  The accident happened around 2:25 a.m. on Highway 38, near the itnersection of 460th Avenue.  Sheriff's deputies say speed was a factor in the crash.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Highway 38 when the driver went into the south ditch, rolling his vehicle. The identity of the 34 year old Hartford man has not yet been released. 

On scene officers told Action News the man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the rollover.  It is unknown if alcohol played a role.

Other agencies invovled were the Highway Patrol, Minnehaha County Emergency Management, Hartford Fire and Humboldt Fire and Ambulance.

you tell me who doesnt speed anymore the roads are full of idiots, and people on cell phones...pretty rare to not see a speeding driver

Same day two accidents. One accident in Canton with the vehicle looking like this, driver alive and fine. One accident in Hartford with the vehicle in the same damage. One the driver was careless but slow, the other careless and speeding. Speed makes all the difference people.
