Great-Grandmother Receives Freedom Flag

By Troy Timmerman

Grace Walters received a freedom flag from her great-granddaughter, Michelle Sharpe on Sunday at the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills, Minnesota.

The flag was flown in an F-16 CJ Fighting Falcon over Iraq on December 25, 2008.

That day was Grace's 102nd birthday.

Michelle served six months in Iraq from July to January.
