Pawlenty Ends Big Week with Speech to GOP Group

By Associated Press

Gov. Tim Pawlenty is capping a momentous political week by traveling to Washington to be the keynote speaker at a gathering of young Republicans.

Pawlenty is addressing a convention of the College Republican National Committee on Friday night.

Earlier in the week, Pawlenty said he would forgo a run for a third term as Minnesota governor. It stoked suspicion that he'll pursue the presidency - an option he wouldn't rule out.

Pawlenty is part of a convention lineup that includes former presidential nominee and GOP senator John McCain, Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan and Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele.
