COPS: Crooks Broke Into Church

By Carter Christensen

Police say someone broke into a church in Watertown.

Early Friday morning, Watertown Police were called to the scene of a robbery at the Immaculate Conception Church at 110 3rd Street S.E. in Watertown. Officers say that someone broke a glass door to get inside the church.

It seems that items from the church were used to break into a locked office. COPS think they were searching for money and a small amount of cash is missing.

The Watertown Police Department is offering a $500 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible. Their Crime Line is 605-882-6217.

It wasn't a robbery KSFY, it's called a burglary. Big difference btween the two.

I guess it all depends on what God you believe in...if you're a Muslim, breaking into a Christian or Jewish probably isn't a hell worthy trespass.

Maybe they don't believe in god, just as much as you DO believe in him. Maybe they thought it would be alright to take money from people who are stupid enough to give it away for nothing every Sunday.

Breaking into GOD'S House is a big Sin and they will pay for it in the end. Only hope the law throws the book at them.

Breaking into a church is as bad as stealing flowers from graves at cemeteries. It is wrong and hope that God punishes them and he will some day.

anyone that breaks into a church needs to receive the harshest punishment possible along with lots of hours community service. That is so wrong. If they needed money that bad, then they should have asked for help because the church probably would have found a way to help them.
