Palin Silent After Resignation

After yesterday's announcement that she's stepping down as Alaska's Governor, Sarah Palin is staying out of the public eye. Her spokesman says she's in Juneau for the fourth, but hasn't made any public appearances.

She's the self proclaimed maverick, fighting against "politics as usual." The unpredictable Alaskan Governor once again stunned the political stratosphere by announcing she's stepping down.

Sarah Palin made a big splash as the republican candidate for vice president just last year, but her perceived lack of readiness also made for plenty of late night laughs.

Palin has given no direct reason for her resignation, saying only that she's putting her family first. In an interview airing Sunday on ABC's this week Vice President Joe Biden says he sympathizes with her decision.

I'm still holding out for the revelation that she's a badly disguised space alien attempting to sow discord and confusion among the people of earth as a prelude to full scale invasion.
