Mom Finds Three Foot Gator

In Minnesota, a mom found a three foot alligator swimming in a pond. Linda Savage of Eagan, Minnesota says she was walking in her backyard when she spotted the alligator.

When she told her family, everyone laughed; but it wasn't a joke.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says that someone was probably keeping the gator as a pet, then got tired of it and released in into the pond.

Once the temp dropped so would have the gator. Alligators can't hibernate like turtles and snakes. Come winter it would have been a dead gator.
