Owner: Rotting Meat Not A Health HazardOwner: rotting meat not a health hazard The owner of a meat plant in Bridgewater says tons of meat left behind may have left a bad smell but it wasn't a health hazard. Ilan Parente said he's undecided if he'll pay the cleanup bill. He moved his business to Minnesota last year. Tons of meat that he says was to go to a pet food company was left behind and began to rot before he could remove it last month. The city and county hauled it away, sanitized the building and want him to pay for it. © 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
