Wheel Target Michael Kerrigan Turns Himself In

By KSFY Action News

Michael Kerrigan, one of Brookings County's Most Wanted, has turned himself into authorities.

According to Kathy Hanson with the Brookings County Sheriff's Office, the 29-year-old turned himself into their office Monday morning.

"We had contact with someone who played baseball with him and helped us out," said Hanson.

Kerrigan allegedly wrote a check for $2,545 and spent it at a Brookings business. The problem: the check he passed is from a bad account and that's a class four felony.

He purchased a car with it actually.... A crappy bonneville. This guy owes a lot more than $2500 btw. Thousands due in rent and credit card debt. Glad this guy is off the street.

Keep this guy locked up where he belongs. May he never write a bad check again. He won't be able to ride around on his motorcycle (or whatever fun thing 2.5 grand can buy). That will teach him. Brooking's county will be able to sleep at ease, knowing that Michael Kerrigan has brought himself to justice.

And why is this dangerous criminal off the street? Not Kelo, not KDLT, but the gold standard of Sioux Empire television, KSFY. Again, Thank you for your efforts to keep our kids safe.
