Lyon County Casino One Step Closer To Breaking Ground

Thursday the Iowa gaming commision decided to take applications for five state casinos including one just west of Larchwood, Iowa.

The casino proposal for Lyon county includes entertainment and a golf course and could bring in 75 million dollars in revune a year.

Dale Neilson of Larchwood says that sounds good to him. He says the economy in the rural county could really use the boost. He added, "I think any area can use jobs and development right now with our economic times and everything any company that brings jobs to an area is a great great adddition to any neighborhood."
