Heavy Rain Falls On Northeast South Dakota

Parts of northeast South Dakota are seeing some washed out roads and flooded crops after heavy rain feel on parts of the area.

The sheriff's department in Edmunds County says a lot of gravel was washed off one road near a bridge in the area.

Heavy rain fell on parts of northeast South Dakota Tuesday from thunderstorms that also produced high winds and large hail.

By late Tuesday evening, Aberdeen had received 3 inches of rain. A flash flood warning was issued Tuesday evening for part of Edmunds County and people were urged to avoid low areas and water over the roads, but the warning later expired.

Wednesday's forecast called for a chance of thunderstorms in the far southeast part of the state.
