When Avera St. Luke's announced they were closing their daycare Hillary Jobey was out of a job.
She decided to go through a training program doing clerical work at the Department of Labor while searching for a job.
"When I started working here the lady who was training me said she had me trained in two days and that really made me feel good because I could never really see beyond what I have always done. I have always done child care and fast food. I didn't realize I could do more and be more."
So Hillary honed her office skills at the Department of Labor while looking for a job and then Wells Fargo called to offer a position.
"Now that I have a job, when I found out yesterday I could barely control myself. I needed to call people and tell them and that was wonderful to be able to finally have a job."
The Department of Labor is hosting a job fair on September 22nd from noon until 5:30pm at the Aberdeen Civic Arena.
