Two Vehicle Head-On Crash Claims One Life

A two vehicle crash on Highway 18, one mile west of Bonesteel, SD in Gregory County took the life of a Lower Brule man. Randell E. Quilt, 32 was driving a 1992 Honda Accord east on US 18 when he crossed the center line. He was met head on with a 2003 Peterbuilt driven by Kevin W. Green.

Quilt was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and was not wearing his seatbelt. It is not known at this time if alcohol was involved and it remains under the investigation of the South Dakota Highway patrol.
