Reports of a gunman put Tea Area Schools on lockdown Friday.

The man unknowingly caused the lockdown. He was apparently holding a gun while on his property, which is located by the school, preparing for duck hunting and that's when someone called police.

According to Chief Ken Haugen, the lockdown was a precautionary measure as they searched the school, checked ids and made sure everything was okay.

There will be no charges because the man did nothing illegal.
