Pedestrian Hit By Car On I-29

The Union County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident on Interstate 29 this morning.

The Sheriff's Office says a pedestrian was walking north on Interstate 29 about 8:00 Sunday night, when they were hit by a car about 2 miles south of Jefferson.

The pedestrian is from Jefferson and was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. The person's condition hasn't been released.

Officers say the driver was a Woodbury County resident. They weren't hurt.
