Redfield Police say the trail has gone cold from the March 28th robbery of the "Bank Of The West".

The Spink County State’s Attorney released today, the identity of the man who robbed banks in the Redfield and Watertown area.

The robberies which occurred on March 28th, 2008 in Redfield and April 25th, 2008 in Watertown.

Federal, state and local authorities are releasing the name of James Edward Krimm (DOB: 3-10-1967) as a suspect in the bank robberies which occurred in Redfield, Watertown, Jamestown, North Dakota and Dilworth, Minnesota.

James Krimm was being pursued after committing a bank robbery in Williston, North Dakota from North Dakota into Montana and back into North Dakota on September 14th, 2009. The suspect then took his own life with a handgun that has been recovered.

James Krimm matches the physical description of the suspect in Redfield, Watertown, Jamestown, North Dakota and Dilworth, Minnesota.

Authorities have located a receipt which places the suspect in Watertown, South Dakota near the time of the robbery there. The suspect has four vehicles registered to him one of which matches the description of a vehicle seen in Redfield on the morning of the bank robbery there: a 1999 white Buick Lesabre with North Dakota license plate HZC813. The following are the other three vehicles: 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme; 1996 Mitsubishi Galant; and a Geo Metro.

Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in locating these vehicles. The 1999 Buick Lesabre was purchased in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Taylor Motors.

Authorities describe the suspect as a loner who would travel from campground to campground, is 6' 4'' tall and weights at least 250 pounds.

A black ski mask very similar to one used in the Redfield, Jamestown and Watertown robberies has been recovered.

Authorities are further requesting any additional information on James Krimm and are continuing to follow up all leads including DNA, vehicles, handgun recovered, clothing, receipts, etc.

Law enforcement agencies involved are the FBI, South Dakota DCI, Spink County Sheriff's Office, Codington County Sheriff's Office, Watertown Police Department, Spink County State's Attorney Office, Codington County State's Attorney, South Dakota Attorney General's Office, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, North Dakota Attorney General's Office, North Dakota Highway Patrol, South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Department of Motor Vehicles in South Dakota and North Dakota.

Any and all leads are being pursued in the multi jurisdiction, multi state
investigations. Anyone with information regarding James Krimm or his
vehicles are requested to contact any of the following agencies in South Dakota: Spink County Sheriff Office at 605-472-4595, DCI at 605-626-2498, Watertown Police Department at 605-882-6210. In North Dakota contact: 701-774-4310.

Federal, State and local authorities are all cooperating and sharing
information to solve these robberies in the multiple jurisdictions.
