American Cancer Society Talks About Tuesday's Smoking Ban Ruling In Pierre

The state wide smoking ban is heating up once again in Pierre. A judge ruled on several motions in Pierre Tuesday afternoon.

The American Cancer Society filed a motion to intervene in the lawsuit. Tuesday the Judge ruled to allow the group to join the lawsuit. The judge also ruled that group member Jennifer Stalley would also join the lawsuit as an individual.

The tax exempt American Cancer Society tricked the voters of Ohio into voting for a ban with exemptions, only to have them removed AFTER they were voter approved. If the ACS has the funds available to fight a law that should be decided by the citizens who must live by it, the ACS certainly does not need any more donations from the people. The ACS has no place in this courtroom, nor does it have a place in the legislature of state and national governments. Since the job of ACS seems now to be dictating public policy rather than fighting for a cancer cure, all citizens should immediately cease any and all donations.
