Sioux Falls Man Indicted For Embezzling

Tools

A Sioux Falls man is accused of stealing nearly $300,000 from the McLaughlin School District.

Thirty-three-year-old Jamie Beisch is charged in federal court with embezzling the money between 2007 and 2009 while employed as
the district's business manager.

Corson County State's Attorney Eric Bogue says the alleged embezzlement was detected when the district's former superintendent
noticed budget discrepancies last February.

McLaughlin is a school district 30 miles from the North Dakota border within the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. It serves 440 students from the towns of McLaughlin, Bullhead and Little Eagle.

Forgiveness comes with repentance. Did he turn himself in? It's bad enough that the public doesn't trust people in government or schools, this makes it worse on the honest ones who work there.
