Juice Bar With Nude Dancers Does Not Open

By Dawn Crawley

A juice bar with nude dancers was scheduled to open today in Mansfield South Dakota. Mansfield is located 20 miles south of Aberdeen.

The juice bar has caused a controversy because most of the people in Mansfield are against having nude dancers in town. The juice bar did not open today.

Hunter's Haven was supposed to open at 4 p.m. and the Spink County Sheriff was at Hunter's Haven at that time to make sure illegal activity was not going on.

The inside of Hunter's Haven is still under construction and the owner says that is why they did not open the doors today.

A state law says that an adult oriented business cannot be located within a quarter mile of a school, playground, or place of worship.

Hunter's Haven is across the street from a playground. The owner says Hunter's Haven will open in a couple of weeks when construction is complete. The Spink County Sheriff says illegal activity will not be tolerated.

With those type of establishments comes the drugs and alcohol. They will serve juice so those going there will drink elsewhere and drive to the place. Lots of people in a dark building the drug dealers will have business like you wouldn't believe. If you don't think it can be stopped than you've given up fixing the problem(s) and your right to speak.

Everyone is fighting to shut this business down. I like what the other person said. If they want to clean up town why don't they crack down on the drug and drunk problem with some of the area people. I would be more scared of these people than an adult type business in town.

okay here we go again, lets here all the children say, " told ya so". People really need a life and be negative about something that really hurts the community. How bout we start by getting rid of all the drug activity in that town. I think people have opened up a can of worms that would have been better left untouched. People will pay for all the negativity toward this establishment with there own mistakes. It's gonna be a long winter.. Glad I left years ago..
