Food Drive Today For Todd County

Tools

By KSFY Staff

Todd County is one of the poorest counties in South Dakota and the unemployment rate is at 10.1 percent. That's above the national average.

To help, Nancy Bell-Moore from B and G Milky Way on Sycamore Avenue is holding a food drive today.

She says any donations can make a world of difference for those living on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.

"Unless you've been to the Indian Reservation, most people in the state of South Dakota do not know the poverty level that is on our reservations," said Bell-Moore.

The food drive runs form 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.

If you bring in two or more perishable items you will receive a free small ice cream cone.

The food drive is only at the B and G East, 721 South Sycamore Avenue.
